fomo.family on Solana: how hoodwatch attributes Solana trades to fomo traders

fomo.family traders also trade on Solana, through pump.fun, PumpSwap, Jupiter and Meteora. Their trading wallets are not the ones on their profiles and most swaps are relayed. Here is how hoodwatch maps and reads them, and what the Solana tape shows.

fomo.family is not only a Robinhood Chain app. The same leaderboard traders also buy and sell Solana memecoins, and the volume there is large: a single token, STONK, was held by roughly eighty leaderboard traders worth millions at the time of writing. hoodwatch shows those trades on the same tape as Robinhood Chain, under the same handles. This post explains how, because the mechanics decide what can and cannot be known.

Where fomo trades settle on Solana

fomo launches on Solana are pump.fun coins. They start on pump.fun's bonding curve and graduate to a PumpSwap pool once the curve fills. Established tokens trade wherever the liquidity is: Raydium, Meteora, Orca, usually routed through Jupiter. hoodwatch does not parse each of those programs. A fill is derived from the trader's own token-balance change in the transaction, plus the SOL or stablecoin that moved against it, so every route looks the same.

The profile address is not the trading wallet

The Solana address shown on a fomo profile does not hold the positions fomo reports for that trader. We checked ten of the largest holders; none of them held a single one of their reported tokens on the profile address. Trading happens from a separate wallet.

We recovered those wallets the same way we did on Robinhood Chain: fomo publishes each trader's top holdings with exact amounts, and on-chain holder lists give every wallet's exact balance. Matching the two identified 159 of the 167 leaderboard traders who hold Solana tokens, with no ambiguous cases. Three of those matches turned out to be automated wallets making thousands of transactions an hour, so hoodwatch also measures each mapped wallet's transaction rate and drops anything that cannot be a person clicking a button.

Relayed swaps

Most fomo Solana swaps are not signed by the trader. A fomo payer wallet signs and pays; the trader's wallet only receives (or gives up) the token. That is why hoodwatch reads the fill from the trader's balance change and prices it from the token's market price times the amount, cross-checked against the SOL or USDC leg in the same transaction. A bundled transaction can carry unrelated legs, so a counter-leg that disagrees with the token's own price by a wide margin is ignored.
